AAG Employee Receives
NASA Group Achievement Award
The NESC Thermocouple Anomaly Investigation Team received a Group Achievement Award from NASA Langley Research Center this week. One member of this
team was AAG employee Dave Schuster! The group received this award for outstanding contributions in diagnosing the cause of and crafting solutions to
spacecraft heatshield temperature anomalies. This prestigious NASA certificate is awarded to any combination of Government and/or non-Government
individuals for an outstanding group accomplishment that has contributed substantially to NASA’s mission.

AAG Employee Receives NASA Honor Medal
Please join us in congratulating Devin Jack on receiving the Early Career Achievement Medal awarded by NASA Langley Research Center.
This honor recognizes Devin for exceptional technical achievement toward safe integration of uncrewed aircraft into the National Airspace System.
This prestigious NASA medal is awarded to any Government and non-Government employee for unusual and significant performance during the
first ten years of an individual’s career in support of the NASA mission.
Performance is characterized by unusual initiative or a creative achievement that clearly demonstrates a significant contribution in the individual’s
discipline area that directly contributes to NASA’s mission and goals. The contribution is significant in that, for an employee who is at such an early
phase of their career, the contribution has substantially improved the discipline area.
Devin and AAG look forward to providing continuing support for NASA’s mission and goals.

AAG Employees Receive NESC Honor Awards
Congratulations to Bruce Jackson and Jesse Couch on receiving the NASA Engineering and Safety Center (NESC) Engineering Excellence Award!
The NESC Engineering Excellence Award honors individuals for making significant engineering contributions, developing innovative approaches,
and ensuring appropriate levels of engineering rigor are applied to the resolution of technical issues in support of the NESC mission.
NESC Honor Awards are given each year to NASA employees, industry representatives, and other stakeholders for their efforts and
achievements in engineering, leadership, teamwork, and communication. These awards formally recognize those who have made
outstanding contributions to the NESC mission, demonstrate engineering and technical excellence, and foster an open environment.
Jesse, Bruce, and AAG appreciate the opportunity to work with the NESC on important, challenging, and interesting engineering problems.
Jesse was presented his award by NESC Director Timmy Wilson and NESC Chief Astronaut Mark Vande Hei.

AAG Welcomes New Vice President
Kinsey Couch holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a focus in accounting and minor in management from Chowan University (2016)
and an MBA from Virginia Wesleyan University (2022). With seven years of government contract accounting experience, Kinsey joined
AAG in October 2023 as Operations Manager. Six months later, on April 1, 2024 (not a joke!), she was promoted to Vice President!
Kinsey’s background and experience are a great addition to AAG. We are so excited to have Kinsey on the team!

“Talk to Me Goose!”
After a navigation error occurred when departing their home base on the roof. The lack of run time assurance or a geofence resulted in two goslings having a bumpy landing on AAG’s third floor balcony. Their small wing area and lack of vertical-lift capabilities associated with the limited runway length and surrounding obstacles resulted in self-departure flight operations being greatly impacted.
Thanks to our heroic team of aerospace engineers intervening with vertical lift capabilities, the goslings were happily reunited with their family!

AAG Celebrates 20 Years!
AAG was founded in 2003 by Keith Hoffler, a one-person consulting firm, who held a 20-year career in aerospace research and development. In 2008, Keith decided to grow AAG by hiring its first employees. Keith is very grateful for all the excellent individuals hired to date with their subject matter expertise, including the young engineers that AAG supports through their advanced degrees and continuous learning. AAG exists today thanks to its dedicated employees, their excellent technical capabilities, enthusiasm for their work, and the way they work with clients and business partners.
