Human Factors Engineering

From the NASA Human Systems Integration Handbook, human factors engineering is designing and evaluating system interfaces and operations for human well-being and optimized safety, performance, and operability, while considering human performance characteristics as they affect and are affected by environments and operating in expected and unpredicted conditions.

With our expertise in human factors engineering, AAG is working with researchers at NASA LaRC in the Crew Systems and Aviation Operations Branch to plan and execute hardware and human-in-the-loop simulation activities supporting commercial aviation operations and emerging aviation operations through biomedical engineering-based assessment methods and human factors psychophysiological crew state monitoring metrics.
